We are growers of berries, cherries and asparagus with on site packing facilities supplying major retailers as well as catering businesses and our own seasonal farm shop. Harvest Supervisor


You will be responsible for supervising a team of between 30-50 people; this is a hands-on position, working in a real horticultural environment, with variable weather conditions on strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. This is a challenging role offering individuals the opportunity to work in a progressive horticultural business and an excellent way to develop your people skills. You will report to the Harvest Manager and the job is available to start from April 2018. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Liaising with the Harvest Manager to ensure daily production requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure the smooth running of operations for your team
  • Being the first point of contact for any issues/queries of your team members
  • Coaching team members in the best techniques in order to achieve performance targets
  • Ensuring fruits are regularly picked and controlled according to quality standards
  • Supporting the training of harvest staff
We are looking for the candidates with following personal qualities:

  • Must speak English and read/write at intermediate level

Previous experience in a supervisory role is required. It will be offered on a seasonal basis, but it also provides the opportunity for further permanent employment if you prove to be ambitious and motivated.
The average working week will be between 40-55 hours per week.
Pay rate: £8.50/hr, overtime after 48 hours/week
Accommodation available in modern mobile homes on a shared basis.
